Orlantae Duncan (he/they) is a queer writer living in Richmond, Virginia. He is a graduate of the University of Mary Washington where he received a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature. His work often explores intersections of race, religion, mental health, and cultural mythology/narratives. He has previously served on the editorial staff of The Rappahannock Review as Editor-in-Chief, and Passengers Journal as a Fiction Reader and Assistant Editor. He was a finalist for the Black Warrior Review 2025 Poetry Prize and the Yalobusha Review 2022 Yellowwood Poetry Prize. His debut poetry chapbook, Brown Boys Speak in Tongues, was a selected winner of The Hunger Journal 2022 Tiny Fork Chapbook Series Contest. His poetry and prose has appeared in Homology Lit, Welter, Cartridge Lit, Passengers Journal, Wig-Wag, and elsewhere.
